Kids and Toddlers’ Summer Must-Haves

Now that summer has officially started, it is important to know the basic things that should be inside our baby bags when we travel with our babies, toddlers and kids.

Here are some of the items that you shouldn’t miss to pack:

Sunscreen Protection

Choose a kid-friendly sunscreen and sunblock that has an SPF of at least 15 to 30 and  provides broad-spectrum of UVA and UVB protection. It is also important that it is water-resistant since kids sweat a lot when they play. To those with sensitive skin, you may choose sunscreen products that are hypoallergenic and fragrance free. There are many brands to choose from like Aveeno, California Baby, Neutrogena, Banana Boat Baby, Coppertone, Hawaiian Tropics, etc.

Potable Water

Drinking lots of fluid is essential most especially this summer season. This is not only applicable to children but to adults as well. We should drink more than the usual 8 glasses of water a day to replenish the body fluid that we release when we sweat and to hydrate ourselves from the scorching heat of the sun. Get your BPA-free bottles and fill them up with potable water.

Sun protection is a must because they must be protected from the summer heat. Especially now that the sun rays are harmful for the skin. And of course, water, so they don’t get dehydrated as they play along.

  6. Gotta have some protection from the harmful UV rays. Definitely drink plenty of fluids so we don’t get dehydrated and getting sick after all. Sure is not good. Our weather here is not as bad yet since it is still the spring, but I hope this summer is not going to be like the past summers where it was just scorching hot like you can cook an egg on the driveway. Oh dear!
