If I Win One Million Pesos For Keisha… I Will…

What will I do if I’ll win one million pesos for Keisha from Pampers Baby Dry? Wow! One million pesos is  a huge sum of money for my little girl. And, since it’s Keisha’s money (not mine), it’s my duty to safeguard her assets and be the best investment banker until she has come of age when she can make sound financial decision for herself. Hypothetically thinking how to wisely save/spend it, gave me time to ponder on things, both tangible and intangible, that I want for her.

PampersFirst and foremost, I’ll invest the 50% percent of 1 million in bonds. It’s a long-term investment so by the time, she’s a grown-up that amount will definitely increase in value. Maybe, double, triple or even more. Aside from investing, 10% of her money will go to her savings account. Yes, she has her own account ever since she was a baby. All the monetary gifts she received from her baptismal day, Christmas and her birthdays all go there. The prize money she got from the contests she joined too were all deposited in her savings account.

I would not want to think to use the money for her studies since it’s my husband and I’s duty to provide for that. And, I would like to believe (keeping my fingers crossed) that we can afford to send her to the best school in the metro with our own hard work. So please don’t be surprised if I will not include that.

For the remaining 40%, I’ll spend the 20% putting up a business under her name. It’s my ultimate dream to make her name a brand, hence, the title of this blog. As of now, I’m not that decided if it will be a salon – Salon de Keisha / Keisha’s Salon or a clothing line for kids – Keisha Couture. Let’s see…

For the remaining 20%, we’ll use it for leisure. My little girl loves to travel. She loves going to beautiful places most especially in Hongkong Disneyland and Plantation Bay in Cebu. With her money, we can bring her in Disneyland, USA. Who would not want to visit that magical place right?
