Book & Borders Cafe officially opens its 2nd branch in Tuscany, McKinley Hill, Bonifacio Global City. Following the success of its pioneer branch in Tomas Morato, Quezon City, Book and Borders Cafe is all set to offer a distinct themed-concept different from the other coffee shops in BGC.
The grand opening was held last March 1, 2016 and was attended by cafe owners Benjamin Alves, Michael Lao, Karylle Tatlonghari-Yuzon, Kristine Joyce Simisim and Chef Dennis Apostol.
Read. Sip. Dine.
Book & Borders is a great place for book lovers aka the bookworms and individuals who prefer a quieter place where they can relax and read a good book, sip a cup of freshly brewed coffee and devour their favorite pasta or sandwich. It’s a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of BGC which is surrounded by bars and clubs.
On the walls of Book & Borders are shelves filled with massive selection of different books. Classic novels, contemporary bestsellers, books for kids, and other great reads that coffee-drinkers can enjoy for leisure. The library is open for all and you can borrow books while dining for free. Reading is more fun and comfortable when you use a book stand available for use at the cafe.
“Here, you can relish the quiet, tucked in your little corner where you can enjoy your coffee or tea, and indulge in your favorite pastime – reading,” shares Kristine Simisim, café owner. “Bring a friend or your new book and discover how time flies.”
“I’m so ecstatic that there’s finally a place for people like us. It’s cozy and inviting, and you won’t get too distracted like in crowded cafes. ‘Books + coffee’ spells the perfect afternoon,” shares Kapuso artist and budding poet Benjamin Alves.
“What I love about Book & Borders is that there’s always something new to discover because they constantly update their library. So even if you just want to browse, all the recent best sellers are on the shelves,” shares Karylle, a self-proclaimed bookworm and travel books collector.

Aside from these scrumptious meals, they also have other delicious pastas like Truffle Mushroom Pasta and Tuyo Pasta, which is my favorite and sandwiches like the Beef Pastrami Panini as well as hearty rice dishes.
Perfect this summer season are their refreshing teas and calming juices. These are of course, on top of their famous brewed coffee and cold coffee-concoctions. Their Salted Hot Chocolate is the bomb!
Thank you Book & Borders for making me part of this momentous milestone in your continuous journey to provide a peaceful hang-out place where coffee and tea lovers can read, sip and dine. Looking forward to the opening of more Book & Borders branches.
