Good food, pleasant ambiance, and reasonable rates make a good dining experience. But since The Alley by Vikings BGC offers much more than that, I’d say it’s one of the best dining destinations you can visit this season. If you have been to any of the Vikings Restaurants you’d know that they value classy interiors and good food. As such, you can expect the same amount of care given in the choice of food and interiors for The Alley at BGC. But that’s not all, here is my take on dining at The Alley.
I was invited to the media launch of The Alley by Vikings BGC. This is the third Alley restaurant that they’ve launched, the first two are located at UP Town Center and Cloverleaf. The Alley brings the eat-all-you-can dining experience to a whole new level with a combination of buffet and food hall concepts. Instead of having different cuisines in one section of the restaurant, diners can explore cuisines from 14 different food stalls strategically placed in alleys within the hall. Each alley has its own appeal with European inspired interiors that are very Instagrammable. You can move along classic, rustic, and dreamy designs as you move from one alley to the other. This makes your food exploration experience more enjoyable. I find this very appealing because both food and interiors are eye candy for foodies and selfie lovers.
Another thing that I loved about The Alley by Viking BGC is the wide selection of food items. Imagine having 14 different food stalls with each one offering their own cuisine selection. It sounds overwhelming but the food set-up makes it easy for diners to just relax and enjoy their food hall buffet experience. Some of the Chef’s recommendation for those who are going to visit The Alley for the first time include:
I particularly liked the Asean Steaks and the Roast Turkey. The desserts at HunneyComb and Ice Cream station are something that the kids can look forward too. I also found it interesting that they have food attendants posing as balut and taho vendors going around the alley to “sell” their fares. If you still have room for cocktails before you head home, then I suggest you try the margaritas with popcicles too.
The Alley by Vikings BGC really does bring your buffet and food hall dining experience to a new level. Aside from providing a pleasant and classy ambiance, the interiors alone are already instagram worthy and worth sharing in social media posts. They’ve also got a wide selection of good food that can fit your mood or cravings. Finally, they’ve got affordable rates that really give you more than just value for money in your dining experience.
