ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE500KL Laser Review

Asus Zenforne 2 Laser 5“Smartphones” are slowly becoming a must have gadget these days because of the convenience it offers. In this digital age, the basic ones are equipped with text messaging or short message service (SMS), pre-downloaded games and basic applications, and a rear and front cameras to take photos and videos. As a mom and a businesswoman with different roles to portray on a daily basis, the use of a reliable smartphone has become an integral part of my daily life. So today, I’m going to review a bang for the buck smartphone that is perfect for moms and women-on-the-go. So let me present my in-depth review of the “ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE500KL Laser”.

ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE500KL Laser: Design

Asus Zenforne 2 Laser 5.0 ReviewLet’s face it, the first thing you look in a gadget is how great and sleek the design is. The Asus ZenFone 2 Laser retains the design of Zenfone 2 so you can expect the “premium feel” of the unique design, which features same 5-inch size and the “ergonomic arc” design. This curve helps a lot to have a good grip of this smartphone especially for people with smaller hands like me. I suggest you try to get one yourself and you will also feel how the design comfortably fits your palm for ultimate comfort without sacrificing the style.

The difference between the two is ZenFone 2 Laser is equipped with a laser auto-focus at the back of the unit near the camera, features 2 SIM slots and it also has a removable battery so you won’t worry about battery drain in the future.

ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE500KL Laser: Display

Asus ZenFone 2 Laser has a 5-inch HD (720x1280p) IPS display, it has TruVivid Technology that only needs 2 layers of the sensor glass and air gap which minimizes the reflection on your screen and maximizes clarity, brightness, and touch sensitivity. Remember those days that very expensive screen protectors are a must because most of the screen attracts scratches very fast and shatters when you drop your phone? Say no more Asus ZenFone 2 Laser has Corning Gorilla glass 4, you can say goodbye to minimal scratches and you can let your kids hold your phone without worrying they might broke the glass display. Another thing that is good from this ZenFone 2 Laser you don’t have to worry too much about wiping the screen every minute because it is equipped with “20nm Anti-Fingerprints Coating with Glove Touch Support”.

ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE500KL Laser: Performance

The ZenFone 2 Laser provides a smooth experience in opening applications, taking photos, loading of gallery, editing of video/photo, running applications at the same time and surprisingly even for graphically demanding games like NBA 2k16 and etc. you will hardly notice lags and the heating issues other smartphones have.

ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE500KL Laser: Kids Mode

Here’s another thing I’m impressed about this phone, as a mom with a techy fashionista daughter “Kids mode” is a big help. Before I hand it to my daughter, I make sure Kids Mode is enabled. It adds parental controls such as blocking notification, calls, how much time my kid can use the phone but Kids Mode is not just limited to that. It also lets them draw, learn, and be creative without worrying your kid can mess with the system or accidentally call someone.

ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE500KL Laser: Battery Life

Aside from the performance and look of smartphones, one thing on top of our concern is its battery life. It’s important that it can keep up with our lifestyle. The ZenFone 2 Laser real performance may vary based on the usage and scenario. It is equipped with 3,000 mAhLi-Polymer, which can last 36 hours of usage on 3G (single sim) and Wi-Fi. And in these days in which popularity of “Power Banks” are rising, extensive users must not worry about the battery life of the ZenFone 2 Laser if they need extra juice.

ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE500KL Laser: Camera

The most important part for the selfie lovers and photo savvies – the Camera! ZenFone 2 Laser is equipped with 8 MP rear camera with laser auto-focus system. This helps the smartphone focus on a certain object better, images look sharper than the ZenFone 2 images.

The camera is certainly capable of producing fantastic images and what excites me the most is the 5 MP front camera with built-in “real-time beautification mode” that makes me take flawless selfies.

What I Like:

  • The phone fits perfectly my hand, all thanks to the ergonomic arc design which is  a unique feature of Asus Smartphones.
  • It can keep up to the demands of my daily life. I answer inquiries of my online shop, I can blog even when I’m out attending events, I can keep track of my schedule, I can play games while I’m stuck in congested Manila traffic and, etc.
  • Perfect for multi-tasking individuals who need an affordable smartphone without compromising performance.
  • For the price of Php 7,295.00, you get a quality phone with great performance and takes amazing photos.
  • The Kids Mode is the bomb! Now, I no longer worry that my files or apps will be deleted or messed up each time my daughter uses my phone.
  • It has dual sim so I don’t have to bring too many phones. For the record, I use two different sims – one for my personal use and the other is for our family business.
  • User-friendly, most especially to first time Android users.

What I Don’t Like:

  • There are too many pre-downloaded apps that I dot need but this may be a plus for those who love to explore and use different applications on their phones.

Final Thoughts

Asus ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL is indeed a “bang for the buck” phone. It is so powerful and feature-packed for its price. For those people who think smartphone is an important part of their daily lives, this smartphone is just right for you as this will efficiently cater to your needs such as in business, school, arts or for anyone who enjoys entertainment on the go. I really recommend getting one for you to experience the greatness of ZenFone 2 Laser and be one of those who can #SeeWhatOthersCantSee.
