Celebrities’ Secret Revealed: Tony Moly Luminous Pure Aura CC Cream Launch

For quite a while, most of us, including me, loved and went crazy over BB creams or the blemish balm creams for its wonderful coverage. I was privileged to be invited in the launch of Tony Moly’s CC cream held in Tony Moly branch, Market! Market!, Taguig. By then, I was totally clueless about CC creams. I had several questions in mind which were all answered in detail during the event.

The event was hosted by Ms. Bianca Valerio, TV and events host, best-selling author, model and make-up expert who also conducted a make-up demo to clearly illustrate the effect and coverage of CC cream.

Let’s get into the details:

What is a CC cream?

CC cream stands for  “color corrector”, “color change” or “complexion correcting”. Mainly, it is an all-in-one cream that corrects the skin color once applied to even out redness and other skin discoloration for a perfect radiant glow. It has a sheer coverage that will instantly give a brighter skin with a natural glow.

It’s a 7-in-1 product with the following benefits:

• sunscreen
• wrinkle repair
• whitening
• moisturizing
• radiance
• primer
• make-up base

What is the difference of a CC cream from a BB cream?

Here’s Ms. Bianca Valerio doing a make-up demo using Tony Moly CC cream. The make-up that she used for herself that day was courtesy of Tony Moly products including the CC cream.

 She applied the CC cream in two different ways: the first one (right-half of the face), she used it as a highlighter and applied only to the part that she wanted to emphasize  and on the other side, she applied the CC cream in full. From here, you can  notice  right away the luminous and radiant effect of the CC cream. No wonder why this product was sold like hotcakes within ten days of its launch.

As explained by Ms. Bianca Valerio, CC creams and BB creams are totally different products with distinct  purposes. Your preference will largely depend on what you want to achieve. If you wish to achieve the “no make-up look” then CC cream is highly recommended for you but if you want a fully made-up look then BB cream will suit you better. But then, you can still use the CC cream as make-up base or primer before applying BB cream.
