I’m a self-confessed make-up junkie. Truth be told, a bigger portion of my income goes to make-up and other beauty products. Please don’t judge! Haha! I can be easily swayed by advertisements of new make-up product release most especially when I read raves from my trusted beauty aficionados. Well, make-up is my guilty pleasure! I give it to myself, I work hard so I think a new compact powder, blush-on and a tube of lipstick won’t hurt. Make-up junkies like me will definitely understand. Try to open my cosmetics drawer and you’ll be surprised to see a number of unused even unopened make-up products and some powder foundations that I only used once or twice. Sad to say, some products most especially powder foundations, don’t deliver its claims or sometimes, it just didn’t work on my skin even the expensive ones. I have a combination type of skin, my T-zone easily oil up while the skin around my lip area is so dry. Finding the right liquid and powder foundation was never a piece of cake for me.
Good thing, I was challenged by the pretty ladies of the Maybelline Team to take the #UltiMatteFaceOff Test where I get to compare the performance of Maybelline’s product – the White Super Fresh Powder Foundation vs. Brands X, Y and Z in oil and sweat absorption.
Maybelline White Super Fresh
Maybelline White Super Fresh was introduced as a no touch up powder foundation with SPF 34 PA+++ that gives a matte and 12-hour long lasting coverage while being gentle on the skin. It has Clean Touch Technology enriched with Mineral Perlite that has 5x absorption power than regular talc powder. This powder foundation promises to keep away sweat and oil for 12 hours. Hence, there’s lesser or even zero chances of breakouts since pores are not clogged with sweat and oil giving you a super fresh, fair and matte skin.

#UltiMatteFaceOff Challenge
As I mentioned earlier, I accepted the #UltiMatteFaceOff Challenge and I am more than excited to share with you how amazing White Super Fresh is. I was given this kit with step-by-step procedure written on the side. There’s Maybelline White Super Fresh on top and the other three competing brands were at the bottom. I spray water on WSF and the other 3 brands as directed.
Watch this video and see for yourself which is the best in oil and sweat absorption.
In the video, it was clearly evident that the water was quickly absorbed by White Super Fresh and worked the opposite on brands X, Y and Z. The rest turned out cakey.

Aside from this challenge, I also road-tested and used this product for a couple of days. Given its price point, the coverage it gave my face was definitely amazing, perfect for everyday use. The desired matte finish that I’m looking for was surprisingly achieved. No touch ups, no oil and sweat on my T-zone area so definitely no breakouts!. I got a fresher look all day and the best thing was, it was noticed by my dear husband. Wohoo!

Oh, by the way, this was also the powder foundation I used in my previous post featuring Madonna-inspired make-up.
It gives medium to full coverage depending on application. And, I love it! Glad that I no longer have to splurge much on my powder foundation.
